About Turgut Aslan

Dr. Turgut Aslan is the Service Line Leader for Managed Security Services (Infrastructure Protection) and Risk & Issue Manager for the MAN account in IMT Germany. He joined IBM in 1999 and has more than 10 years of experience in the IT security areas of networking infrastructure, systems management, service management, tools, and software. He worked on the Global E2E Patch Management Project, and has written and globally rolled out the current Global Security Patch Management Process and Procedure. He also has developed learning modules in learning@IBM and provided recorded education sessions. In 2009, he supported the cloud solution developed at IBM Ehningen, Germany from the security and compliance perspective. Turgut joined the Global ITIL V3 championship program in 2010 and represented panIOT there.

This blog entry is about managing risks and issues when providing cloud services to commercial customers. Managing service provider internal risks when using cloud technology is out of scope of this blog entry. Also any risk evaluation whether or not to migrate information assets or applications to cloud solutions is not regarded here.
